^Nice were deducted one point for uncontrolled crowd trouble that caused the abandonment of their match against Marseille.[36]
Note: The match was originally played on 22 August 2021 at the Allianz Riviera, but was abandoned after 74 minutes, with Nice leading 1–0, due to crowd disturbances caused by Nice fans. Nice were thus deducted one point and a replay was rescheduled for 27 October, to be played at a neutral venue behind closed doors.[40][41]
Note: Nice was due to meet either Paris FC or Lyon in the round of 32, but their round of 64 match was abandoned after half time due to crowd trouble; as a result of the disqualification of both teams, Nice got a bye to the round of 16.[42]
