A cinta s'ambienta en dos momentos historicos diferents, 1941 y la suya epoca actual, 1980, en l'oceano Pacifico y Pearl Harbor (Honolulu, Hawaii) y las suyas escenas se filmoron en l'interior d'o USS Nimitz real y bels atros barcos d'a United States Navy, en l'oceano Atlantico, en Honolulu, en Florida (incluyindo-ie Key West) y en Norfolk en Virchinia.[2]
