Broekies in verskillende kleure

Broekies of 'n onderbroekie (tipies panties genoem in Amerikaanse Engels of knickers in Britse Engels) is 'n vorm van onderklere deur vroue gedra.[1] Broekies is meestal vormgepas, maar kan ook los wees.

Tipiese komponente sluit in 'n elastiese lyfband, 'n kruispaneel wat die skaamdele bedek (gewoonlik gevoer met absorberende materiaal soos katoen), en 'n paar beenopeninge wat, soos die lyfband, dikwels van elastiese materiaal gemaak word. Verskillende materiale word gebruik, maar gewoonlik word stowwe verkies wat kan "asemhaal" (vryelik ventileer).

Terwyl broekies oorspronklik ontwerp is om die hele onderste helfte van die vroulike liggaam te bedek, het dit sedert die 1970's óf geen bene gehad nie, óf in meeste gevalle baie kort bene wat toenemend korter geraak het met die verloop van tyd.
