Øresund

Øresund (dalam Denmark; disebut oleh warga setempat: Sundet, Swedia: Öresund, Indonesia: Selat) adalah selat yang memisahkan pulau Zealand Denmark dengan daerah selatan provinsi Scania di Swedia. Lebarnya hanya 4 kilometer (2,5 mi) di titik tersempit antara Elsinore, Denmark, dan Helsingborg, Swedia. Selat ini juga memiliki nama yang sama dengan Wilayah Øresund dengan 3,7 juta penduduk di Denmark dan Swedia.

Øresund adalah satu dari tiga selat di Denmark yang menghubungkan Laut Baltik dengan Samudera Atlantik melalui Kattegat, Skagerrak dan Laut Utara, dan merupakan salah satu jalur perairan tersibuk di dunia.^[1]

Jembatan Öresund diresmikan pada 1 Juli 2000 oleh Raja Carl XVI Gustav dari Swedia dan Ratu Margrethe II dari Denmark. Kapal feri beroperasi 24 jam antara Helsingborg, Swedia dan Helsingør, Denmark.
