Tatapaan adalah sebuah kecamatan di Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, Sulawesi Utara, Indonesia.[1] Penduduk kecamatan ini berjumlah 10.828 (2024), dengan luas wilayah 53,40 km², dan kepadatan penduduk 202,77 jiwa/km².[1] Pembentukan Kecamatan Tatapaan berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan Nomor 16 Tahun 2007. Kecamatan Tatapaan terdiri dari 11 (sebelas) Desa yaitu : Desa Sulu, Desa Paslaten, Desa Paslaten Satu, Desa Wawona, Desa Bajo, Desa Popareng, Desa Wawontulap, Desa Pungkol, Desa Sondaken, Desa Rap-rap dan Desa Arakan. Kecamatan Tatapaan sebagai salah satu dari 17 (Tujuh Belas) Kecamatan yang ada di wilayah Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, terletak sebelah Utara ± 17 km dari ibu kota / pusat pemerintahan Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan dan berjarak  ± 47 km dari ibu kota Propinsi Sulawesi Utara, wilayah Kecamatan Tatapaan mempunyai ketinggian dari permukaan laut + 10 s/d 100 mdpl dengan suhu  rata-rata 28˚ C, sedangkan luas 55,20 km2.

  1. Sebelah Barat: Laut Sulawesi
  2. Sebelah Timur: Kecamatan Tumpaan
  3. Sebelah Selatan: Teluk Amurang
  4. Sebelah Utara: Laut Sulawesi dan Kecamatan Tombariri

Demografi

Sementara itu, keberagaman agama dan budaya menjadi bagian dari masyarakat kecamatan Tatapaan. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik kabupaten Minahasa Selatan tahun 2019 mencatat bahwa 83,01% penduduknya memeluk agama Kristen, dimana Protestan 82,98% dan Katolik 0,03%, dan selebihnya memeluk agama Islam berjumlah 16,99%. Untuk sarana rumah ibadah, terdapat 37 bangunan gereja Protestan dan 3 bangunan Masjid.[1][2]
