Tanjung Sengkuang adalah kelurahan di kecamatan Batu Ampar, Kota Batam, Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia. Luas wilayah kelurahan ini adalah 3,79 km², dengan jumlah penduduk tahun 2020 sebanyak 27.402 jiwa dan kepadatan 7.230 jiwa/km².[1] Kelurahan ini memiliki 20 Rukun Warga (RW) dan 82 Rukun Tetangga (RT).
Kota Batam dikenal sebagai salah satu kota yang multikultural di Indonesia, kemajemukan masyarakat terlihat dalam identitas warga, termasuk etnis dan agama kepercayaan. Masyarakat kecamatan Batu Ampar, didominasi oleh suku Melayu, dan sebagian lagi merupakan suku Batak, Tionghoa, Minangkabau, dan Jawa.[2] Ada juga kelompok etnis lain seperti Bugis, Nias, Sunda, dan lainnya.
Bahasa yang digunakan di daerah ini umumnya adalah bahasa Indonesia, juga bahasa Melayu Batam dan bahasa lainnya seperti Batak yang kebanyakan adalah Batak Toba, dan bahasa Jawa. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik kota Batam 2020, pemeluk agama di kelurahan ini cukup beragam, dimana Islam 85,06%, kemudian Kristen 13,28% (Katolik 9,95% dan Protestan 3,33%), Budha 1,58%, Konghucu 0,04% dan Hindu 0,04%.[1]
Pekerjaan warga didominasi oleh karyawan swasta dan buruh, juga banyak yang merupakan pedagang, sebagian guru, tenaga medis, Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) dan TNI/Polisi, dan pekerja kantoran lainnya termasuk perbankan, dan sebagainya.
