Sungai Lawak adalah salah satu nama desa yang berada di kecamatan Nanga Taman, Kabupaten Sekadau, provinsi Kalimantan Barat, Indonesia. Desa ini memiliki luas wilayah 87,95 km² dengan populasi ditahun 2020 berjumlah 1.732 jiwa, dan kepadatan 20 jiwa/km².[2]

Demografi

Jumlah penduduk desa ini tahun 2020 berjumlah 1.732 jiwa, dimana laki-laki sebanyak 900 jiwa dan perempuan sebanyak 832 jiwa. Desa ini terbagi menjadi 3 dusun dan 8 Rukun Tetangga (RT).[2] Penduduk asli Kalimantan Barat ialah suku Dayak dan Melayu demikian juga halnya di Kabupaten Sekadau secara umum dan kecamatan Nanga Taman secara khusus, mayoritas merupakan penduduk suku Dayak Mualang dan sebagian Dayak Senganan. Ada juga suku pendatang lainnya yang kebanyakan merupakan Jawa, Bugis, Madura, Tionghoa, dan Batak.[3]

Sementara itu di Sekadau, terdapat 15 sub suku Dayak, yaitu Benawas, Jawant, Kancing, Ketungau, Ketungau Banyur, Kerabat, Kerabat Ulu Sekado, Maam'p Mualang, Mentrab Kabut, Ntukan, Sawe, Seberuang, dan Taman.[4] Suku Dayak Senganan, merupakan suku Dayak yang kebanyakan beragama Islam, dan orang luar mengenalnya sebagai Melayu Sekadau.[3] Sementara itu, bahasa yang digunakan di kawasan ini selain bahasa Indonesia, penduduk lokal memakai bahasa Dayak.[4]

Dalam bidang keagamaan, Badan Pusat Statistik kabupaten Sekadau 2020 mencatat tentang jumlah pemeluk agama warga di desa ini. Persentasi pemeluk agama di desa ini yakni Kristen 99,71% (Katolik 99,02% dan Protestan 0,69%), kemudian Islam 0,17% dan Budha 0,12%.[2]

Pekerjaan

Data usia kerja penduduk memiliki beragam macam atau jenis pekerjaan. Data tahun 2020 mencatat bahwa pada umumnya penduduk bekerja sebagai petani, Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS), guru, kemudian pensiunan, TNI/Polisi, buruh dan pekerjaan lainnya.[2]

Ekonomi

Komoditi unggulan Kabupaten Sekadau yaitu sektor perkebunan, pertanian dan jasa. Dalam sektor perkebunan, komoditi unggulannya yakni perkebunan kelapa sawit, kakao, karet, kopi, kelapa, dan lada. Sementara itu untuk sektor pertanian, komoditi yang diunggulkan berupa tanaman jagung, ubi jalar, dan ubi kayu. Dan untuk sektor jasa, pariwisata yaitu wisata alam, yang menjadi unggulan di Sekadau.[3]
