Petra Schürmann-Freund (15 September 1933 – 14 Januari 2010) adalah pemenang kontes Miss World tahun 1956 yang mewakili Jerman Barat. Ia merupakan wanita pertama dari Jerman Barat yang memenangkan gelar ini. Miss World yang ia menangkan diadakan di London, Britania Raya.

Pada tahun 1973, ia menikah dengan dokter Dr Gerhard Freund, yang sudah kembali pada tahun 1967, di bawah selubung kerahasiaan, menjadi ayah dari putri mereka Alexandra.[8] Ini adalah pada saat ia masih menikah dengan aktris Jerman Marianne Koch.[8] Alexandra Freund juga memiliki karier yang sukses dengan penyiar Munich tetapi meninggal pada tahun 2001 saat berusia 34 tahun akibat kecelakaan mobil ketika ia bertabrakan dengan pengemudi yang salah-arah.[8] Petra Schürmann tak pernah benar-benar pulih dari kehilangan putrinya yang sangat dekat dengannya[7][8][9]

Petra Schürmann pensiun dengan suaminya ke rumah mereka di tepi Danau Starnberg di selatan Munich.[8] Ketika dia meninggal pada bulan Agustus 2008 mereka telah menikah selama 35 tahun[10][11][12] Dia meninggal pada 14 Januari 2010 di rumahnya di Starnberg setelah menderita sakit cukup lama.[7]
