Karnitina palmitoil transferase II

Karnitina palmitoil transferase II (CPT II) adalah enzim yang memiliki fungsi sebagai katalisator proses konjungasi asilkarnitin rantai panjang dan sangat panjang ke koenzim A setelah asilkarnitin dipindahkan ke dalam mitokondria.[1] Karnitina palmitoil transferase II berlokasi di membran dalam mitokondria.[2] Gen CPT 2 pada manusia terletak pada kromosom 1 (1p32) yang tersusun atas 3090 nukleotida serta terdiri 5 ekson yang dapat mengodekan rantai peptida protein enzim yang terdiri dari 658 asam amino.[3]
