KLA Corporation adalah perusahaan permodalan peralatan Amerika yang berbasis di Milpitas, California. Perusahaan ini memasok sistem kontrol proses dan manajemen hasil untuk industri semikonduktor dan industri nanoelektronik terkait lainnya. Produk dan layanan perusahaan ditujukan untuk semua fase wafer, reticle, integrated circuit (IC) dan produksi pengemasan, mulai dari penelitian dan pengembangan hingga pembuatan volume akhir.[2]

Sejarah

KLA-Tencor dibentuk pada tahun 1997 melalui merger KLA Instruments di bidang peralatan semikonduktor dan Tencor Instruments di bidang industri sistem manajemen hasil.[3] Merger ini dimaksudkan untuk menyatukan proses chip dan peralatan diagnostik.[3] KLA Instruments didirikan pada tahun 1975 oleh Ken Levy dan Bob Anderson, dan berfokus pada deteksi photomask untuk mengidentifikasi cacat pada chip. KLA kemudian memperluas lini produknya untuk menyertakan inspeksi wafer, metrologi wafer, serta perangkat lunak inspeksi dan analisis terintegrasi.[4]
