Film gotik adalah film yang didasarkan pada fiksi Gotik atau unsur-unsur umum dari karya fiksi tersebut. Karena berbagai genre film yang sudah mapan—termasuk fiksi ilmiah, film noir, triler, dan komedi—telah menggunakan elemen Gotik, maka film Gotik sulit didefinisikan secara jelas sebagai sebuah genre. Unsur-unsur Gotik terutama banyak mewarnai genre horor, dengan menghadirkan elemen supranatural dan mimpi buruk.[1]
