Fadjar Asia

Fadjar Asia merupakan surat kabar yang terbit pertama kali pada 5 Januari 1923. Koran ini merupakan corong dari Partai Serikat Islam.[1][2]

Media ini dikelola oleh HOS Tjokroaminoto, KH Agus Salim, dan Kartosoewirjo. Mereka duduk sebagai pemimpin redaksi dan redaksi dari koran ini.[1]

Mereka dibantu oleh Soetan Mahmoed Latif untuk Jawa Barat, Dr. Soekiman untuk Jawa Tengah, Wondo Soedirdjo untuk Jawa Timur, dan pemuka-pemuka lain yang mengatasnamakan diri sebagai anggota Pergerakan Ra’jat.[1]

Kantor redaksi surat kabar ini yaitu Pasar Senen 125, Weltevreden.[1]

Fadjar Asia mengusung jargon ”Soerat Chabar Penerangan Islam Tentang Agama, Adab dan Politiek”. Fadjar Asia setia menyapa pembaca setiap hari, kecuali Ahad dan hari besar.[1]

Karena tulisan-tulisan yang menohok, pun penulisnya adalah orang-orang nomor satu di tanah Hindia Belanda, Fadjar Asia menjadi surat kabar berpengaruh kala itu.[1]
