郑州地铁6号线是郑州地铁一条部分通车的线路，一期工程自贾峪站至清华附中站，共设28座车站[2]，其中西段（贾峪~常庄）于2022年9月30日开通运营[3]。
6号线一期工程自贾峪站起，途径贾峪、洞林湖、马寨、郑州市民公共文化服务区等地后，进入中心城区，沿淮河路地下向东，下穿京广铁路后途经苗圃、二里岗等地，至未来路后转向北，经过姚砦站后进入郑东新区北部，至清华附中站与4号线换乘。
线路平均站间距 1.54 km，最大站间距位于洞林寺站-安宁路站区间（2.764 km），最小站间距位于卧龙岗站-桐淮站区间（0.85 km）。
在郑州地铁2009年的早期规划中，6号线走向为大学路南三环交叉处至龙子湖高校园区，全长 25.21 km，拟设 20 座车站，其中换乘车站达 7 个，并预留了向南部和东部延伸的空间和条件[6][7]。
2019年3月，《郑州市城市轨道交通第三期建设规划（2019-2024年）》获批。此规划中6号线自贾峪站至姚砦站，长 36.5 km，共设 24 个站[8]。
2019年7月30日，郑州市轨道交通建设中心通过媒体发布《郑州市城市轨道交通第三期建设项目（其中3、6、8、10、12号线路）社会稳定风险评估征求公众意见公示》，其中显示6号线一期工程比之前的规划向北延伸两站，为贾峪站至小营站，在小营站与8号线换乘。根据此规划，6号线线路长 39.13 km，设车站 26 座，投资269.44亿元，项目建设工期为6年[2]。
2021年1月，郑州地铁对6号线一期工程东北段进行招标；招标内容显示，6号线自小营站又向北延伸两站至清华附中站，并与4号线换乘[9]。
2022年9月30日，6号线一期工程西段（贾峪~常庄）开通初期运营[3]。2023年1月16日，金桢路站开通运营[5]。
2023年7月12日，6号线盾构区间全部贯通[10]。
