早年

史托馬出生于瑞典的厄勒布鲁省库姆拉，[1]在海尔辛兰省的阿爾布羅（英语：Arbrå）市长大。

演艺生涯

史托馬最初是在瑞典皇家劇院表演，演了11年。1990年他在东京环球剧场成为副艺术总监并为他自己制作了多部莎士比亚表演，包括《哈姆雷特》。3年后，他搬去纽约然后主要参与以英语为主的表演。他饰演过一个虚构的瑞典特工卡爾·漢密爾頓（Carl Hamilton）。在电影《冰血暴》中的一个绑架犯的角色使斯特曼被星探发现，1年後他在电影《侏羅紀公園：失落的世界》中飾演戴特·史塔克（Dieter Stark），之后他亦在2002年饰演了《關鍵報告》中的所羅門·艾迪（Solomon Eddie）。

音乐生涯

U2乐队的博诺听了斯特曼的音乐作品后鼓励他去制作一张专辑。2002年史托馬发行了他的第一张专辑《Dallerpölsa och småfåglar》，他在一个叫做Blonde from Fargo的乐队表演，还运营着一家叫做StormVox的唱片公司。[8]

个人生活

史托馬因为工作经常往返于美国和瑞典。[9]1989年他娶美国女演员Karen Sillas为妻，2006年离婚。2008年娶本土日本人Toshimi为妻，[9]2009年5月9日生下女儿Kaiya Bella Luna Stormare。

史托馬是古斯塔夫·斯卡斯加德（瑞典男演员，斯特兰·斯卡斯加德之子）的教父，在布拉格为一部迪斯尼电影拍摄时，他被Tony Garnier介绍给鲍勃·迪伦。他的侄子Stefan Storm是The Sound of Arrows的歌手和写手。

史托馬是基督徒并声称他和上帝有联系。[9][10]他年轻时参加了阿拉伯的一场浸礼会。[10][11]他对宗教非常虔诚，应该是遗传自他的母亲，他的母亲自称是一名通灵。[10][11]
