早年

維傑·西圖帕提生長於泰米尔纳德邦拉贾帕拉耶姆，直到為了讀小學六年級而搬到欽奈[7]；住在欽奈北部的恩諾爾（英语：Ennore）。他就讀於科丹巴卡姆（英语：Kodambakkam）的MGR高級中學（MGR Higher Secondary School）和小天使預科高級中學（Little Angels Mat. Hr. Sec. School）。[7]據西圖帕提所述，自己從小到大學都是普通學生，對體育運動和課外活動都不感興趣[8]。16歲時，他試鏡了《我們的一員（英语：Nammavar）》（1994年）中的一個角色，但因身高矮而被拒絕[9]。

個人生活

西圖帕提有三個兄弟姊妹：哥哥、弟弟和妹妹各一[7]。2003年，他從杜拜回來後，與女友傑西結婚[7]。夫妻倆與有一子一女：蘇利耶（Surya）及史瑞賈（Shreeja）[14]。他之所以給兒子取名為蘇利耶，是為了紀念自己在學生時代去世的朋友。蘇利耶在《我也是个粗人（英语：Naanum Rowdy Dhaan）》（2015年）中首次參演電影，飾演西圖帕提角色的年少時期。[15]蘇利耶之後又與父親合演了《信德乌巴达（英语：Sindhubaadh）》（2019年）[16]。
