Charlotte xứ Clarence (sinh và mất ngày 27 tháng 3 năm 1819), là con gái lớn của Vương tử William, Công tước xứ Clarence và vợ là Adelheid xứ Sachsen-Meiningen.

Tiểu sử

Vào tháng 11 năm 1818, Vương tử William, Công tước xứ Clarence thông báo rằng vợ ông là Adelheid xứ Sachsen-Meiningen đang mang thai người thừa kế tương lai của nước Anh. Hai vợ chồng dự tính trở về Anh từ Hannover để sinh con. Tuy nhiên bà Công tước được cảnh báo rằng sức khỏe của bà và đứa trẻ không đủ tốt để đi qua vùng Biển Bắc. Đứa trẻ được dự sinh vào tháng 4 thế nhưng trong một lầ đi dạo trong vườn, Adelheid bị cảm lạnh dẫn đến viêm màng phổi. Vì thế đứa trẻ bị sinh non[1] vào ngày 27 tháng 3 năm 1819 tại Cung điện Fürstenhof ở Hannover. [2][a] Nhận thấy đứa bé sẽ không qua khỏi nên cô bé đã được rửa tội ngay trong ngày, [1] đặt tên là Charlotte Augusta Louise [2][b] và qua đời không lâu sau. Charlotte được chôn cất bên cạnh ông cố là Quốc vương George I của Liên hiệp Anh.[3]
