Pirop
Pirop (yun. pyropos — olovsimon) — granatlar guruhiga mansub mineral. Mg3Al2(SiO4)3, tarkibida 20,45% MgO boʻladi. Unga temir, marganets ham aralashgan. Pirop chiroyli toʻq qizil rangi bilan ajralib turadi. Ayrim peridotit lar, kimberlitlar, shuningdek, serpentinitlar uchun xos. Piropning qip-qizil, tiniq, shaffof kristallari qimmatbaho tosh hisoblanadi. Yaltiroqligi shishasimon, qattiqligi 6,5—7,5, zichligi 3580–3710 kg/m3. Mashhur pirop koni Chexiyada boʻlib, metamorfizlashgan magnezial slanetslarda, sochma konlarda keng tarqalgan[1].
