Alaband
Alaband (qadimgi yunoncha: Ἀλάβανδος) — yunon mifologiyasining qahramoni, kariya qahramoni, Alabanda shahrining afsonaviy asoschisi[1][2].
Letopolisdagi Apolloniusning 9-qismidan kelib chiqadiki, u afsonaviy Kara va Kallironing oʻgʻli[2], daryo xudosi Meanderning qizi[3][4][5]. Vizantiyalik Stivenning soʻzlariga koʻra, u arava poygasida gʻalaba qozonganidan soʻng, Alaband nomini oldi, chunki kariya soʻzi ἄla „ot“ degan maʼnoni anglatadi benada esa „gʻalaba“ degan maʼnoni anglatadi[6]. Shunga koʻra, yunon tilida uni baʼzan Hipponikus (Piponikus)[7] deb atashgan. Uning haqiqiy ismi nomaʼlum.
Yoki u „ Iliada“ da Patrokl (XVI, 417)[1], u deme eponimiga aylangan, ehtimol Alabandadan[8], yaʼni, ehtimol, bu Alaband alohida belgi edi[9].
Tsitseron Alabandani (Alabandus) qahramonlar apotheoziga misol qilib keltirgan va uning oʻlimidan keyin Alabanda aholisi asoschiga boshqa xudolarga qaraganda koʻproq hurmat bilan sigʻinardi. Shu munosabat bilan Tsitseron bu shahar aholisidan biri afinalik musiqachi Stratonikosni Gerkules Alabanddan farqli oʻlaroq xudo emasligiga qatʼiy ishontira boshlagan epizodni esladi va u shunday javob berdi: „Shunday ekan, Alabandning gʻazabi mening boshimga tushsin. Gerkulesning gʻazabi esa sizning boshingizga“[10].
