15-й чемпіонат України із шахів серед жінок, що проходив у Києві в жовтні-листопаді 1955 року.

Загальна інформація про турнір

Турнір проходив за коловою системою за участі 15 шахісток. Чемпіонат зібрав майже всіх найкращих шахісток України. Поряд з досвідченими першорозрядницями в ньому вперше зіграли молоді здібні шахістки Нісенбойм, Перепадя, Радкевич і Табашнікова[1].

Набравши 10½ очок з 14 можливих (+8-1=5) чемпіонкою України стала Естер Гольдберг (Київ).

Другий рік поспіль віце-чемпіонкою стала вінничанка Антоніна Вітковська (10 очок). Третє-п'яте місця розділили Олена Малинова, Берта Вайсберг та Любов Нісенбойм (по 9 очок).

Переможниця попередніх чотирьох першостей України (1951—1954 рр.) Любов Коган розділила 6-7 місця з Ніною Русинкевич.

На турнірі було зіграно 103 партії, з яких 70 закінчилися перемогою однієї зі сторін (68,0 %), а 33 партії завершилися внічию. У двох партіях була зарахована технічна перемога (поразка).
