Ömerli, Mardin ilinin bir ilçesidir.

Ömerli, 1953 yılına kadar Savur ilçesine Maserti adıyla bağlı bulunan sırasıyla bir köy ve bucaktır. Kayıtlara göre Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında da bucak olduğu bilinmektedir. 1953 yılında bucak statüsü sona erdirilip ilçe yapılmış ve Mardin iline bağlanmıştır.

İlçe merkezinde Süryanilerden kalma Mor Cercis (Gevergis) Kilisesi bulunmaktadır, kilise restore edilip ibadete açılmıştır.

Mardin merkeze 26 km uzaklıktadır.

İlçe susuz yetişen üzümleri ile ünlüdür ve bağ bozum şenliği yapılmaktadır.

Tarım

Ömerli Karfoki üzümü ilçeye tescil edilmiş o bölgeye özgü olan yerli bir çeşittir. Ömerli Karfoki üzümü yaş halde iken yeşil-sarı renkte, kurutulduğunda diğer kuru üzümlerden kolayca ayırt edilebilecek şekilde kahverengiye yakın kehribar rengindedir.[3]
