Taşbaşı, Hakkâri ilinin Merkez ilçesine bağlı bir köydür.

Tarihçe

Köyün eski adı 1928 yılı kayıtlarında Kelîtan  olup, "kelayto" sözcüğü Süryanice'de "keşiş hücresi" anlamına gelmektedir. Köyün adı,1980 yılı kayıtlarında ise Seyitli olarak geçmektedir. Yukarı Tiyari vadisinin ana yerleşimi olan Kelitan köyü 1990’larda boşaltılmış ve dere boyundaki Derav mevkiinde yeni köy kurulmuştur.[4]

Daha önceleri Hakkâri ilinin Çukurca ilçesine bağlıyken 12 Ocak 1993 tarihinde Merkez ilçesine bağlandı.[5]

Coğrafya

Köy, Hakkâri il merkezine 45 km uzaklıktadır.[6] Köy, Hakkari'nin güneybatısında olup, Zap Suyu ve D.400 numaralı Şırnak-Hakkari devlet yolu üzerindedir.[7]
