Pop Rocks, Zeta Espacial S.A'ya ait bir şekerdir. Pop Rocks malzemeleri arasında şeker, laktoz (süt şekeri) ve farklı lezzetler bulunur.[1] Tipik sert şekerlemeden farklı olarak, birinin ağzında çözündüğü zaman küçük bir haşhaş reaksiyonu yaratması nedeniyle farklılık gösterir.

Konsept, General Foods araştırma kimyagerleri Leon T. Kremzner ve William A. Mitchell tarafından 12 Aralık 1961'de (ABD patent no. 3,012,893), patentini aldı, ancak şeker, General Foods tarafından 1975 yılına kadar halka sunulmadı.[2] 1983 yılında, pazardaki başarı eksikliğinden ve nispeten kısa raf ömründen bahsetti.
