NGC 3010, Büyük Ayı takımyıldızında yaklaşık olarak 220,15 MIy (67,5 Mpc) uzaklıkta bulunan bir eliptik gökadadır. John Herschel tarafından 17 Mart 1828 tarihinde keşfedildi, fakat gökadanın tanımlanması çok belirsizdir.[3]

Yakındaki NGC 3009 gökadası, PGC 28303 ile ilgili başvurulan tüm kaynaklar tarafından aynı şekilde tanımlanırken, Profesör Courtney Seligman bunun PGC 28330 gökadası olduğunu iddia etmektedir.[3] NGC 3010 için ise durum daha karmaşıktır, çünkü bu bölgede NGC 3009=PGC 28303?'ün doğusunda yer alan ve NGC kataloğunda sırasıyla A-C harfleriyle sınıflandırılan üç tane daha (PGC 28330, 28335 ve 28340) gökada bulunmaktadır.
