Lugdunum

Lugdunum'da bulunan Roma Tiyatrosu

Colonia Copia Claudia Augusta Lugdunum, günümüz Fransa'sının Lyon şehrinde bulunan Galya'da antik bir Roma şehriydi. MÖ 43 yılında Lucius Munatius Plancus tarafından kurulan şehir, Roma eyaleti Gallia Lugdunensis'in başkentliğini yapmıştır. Claudius ve Caracalla gibi iki önemli Roma imparatoru Lugdunum'da dünyaya gelmiştir. MS 69-192 yılları arasında şehrin nüfusunun 50,000 ila 200,000 arasında olduğu düşünülmektedir.[1][2][3][4]
