Lamellipodia

Lamellipodium (çoğulu lamellipodia), hücrenin hareketi sağlayan yüzeylerindeki aktin proteini içerikli hücre iskeleti uzantısıdır. Yalancı iki boyutlu aktin ağı içerir. Bütün olarak bu yapı, hücreyi bir zemin üzerinde hareket ettirir. Lamellipodia içerisinde aktin kolları gibi görülen mikro-dikenler vardır. Lamellipodiumun sınırları dışına uzandıklarında filopod adını alırlar. Lamellipodium hücre zarındaki aktin kümelenmelerinden meydana gelir ve hücredeki en önemli düzenli aktin yapılanması veya mikrofilaman oluşumu alanıdır.[1]

Kökeni

Latincede ince tabaka anlamındaki "Lamina" ve ayak anlamındaki "pod" kelimelerinden türetilmiştir.
