Kevin Kelly (1952, Pennsylvania, ABD) Wired dergisinin kurucu yönetici editörü ve Whole Earth Review'un eski editörü/yayıncısıdır. Ayrıca yazar, fotoğrafçı, çevreci ve Asya ve dijital kültür öğrencisi olmuştur.

Kelly 1952'de Pensilvanya'da[1] doğdu. 1970'te Westfield, New Jersey'deki Westfield Lisesi'nden mezun oldu. Çalışmalarında sistem analizini kullanan ve Time'ın bir yöneticisi olan babası aracılığıyla sibernetike erken bir ilgisi oluştu [2] Bir yıl boyunca Rhode Island Üniversitesi'nde jeoloji okudu.

Kelly, Asya'da sırt çantasıyla çok seyahat etti. Ortadoğu'da seyahat ederken bir din değiştirme deneyimi yaşadı ve yeniden doğmuş bir Hristiyan oldu. [2] Katolik olarak yetiştirildi.

Kelly, San Francisco'nun hemen güneyinde küçük bir sahil kasabası olan Pacifica, California'da yaşamaktadır. Biyokimyager Gia-Miin Fuh ile evlidir ve Kaileen, Ting ve Tywen adında üç çocuğu bulunmaktadır.
