Erentepe, Muş ilinin Bulanık ilçesine bağlı bir beldedir.

Tarihçe

Erentepe beldesinin eski ismi Liz olup MÖ yıllara dayanan bir höyük çevresinde kurulu bir yerleşim birimidir. 1987 tarihinde belde olmuştur.[1]

Muş il merkezinin kuzeydoğusunda; Bulanık güneybatısında; yeni adı Erentepe olan Liz Köyü'nün hemen kuzeydoğusundadır. Eren Dere'nin hemen güneyindedir. Yerleşmenin doğu-güneydoğunda Erentepe Şehitliği; kuzeybatısında Bulanık-Muş yolu bulunmaktadır. Yörenin önemli yerleşme yerlerinden biridir. 6 m yüksekliğinde; 50 m çapındadır. K; Kökten ve C.A. Burney tarafından araştırılmış olan höyüğün yüzeyinden siyah açkılı Karaz malı ile kırmızı-kahverengi açkılı İTÇ malından parçalar toplanmıştır. Burney; kapalı bir havza olan Muş Ovası'ndaki İTÇ yerleşmelerinin daha çok İTÇ I ve II. evre bulguları verdiğinden söz etmektedir. İTÇ mallarının çoğunluğunun yerel olduğu sanılmaktadır. M.S. Rothmann başkanlığında gerçekleştirilen araştırmada ise İTÇ'den Urartu Dönemi'ne geçişi anlamak için en uygun yerleşim yeri olduğu belirtilmektedir. Alpaslan Baraj gölü höyüğün çok yakınına gelerek Erentepe Köyü'nü yok edecektir. İTÇ dışında MÖ 2. bin yıl; Urartu ve Orta Çağ malzemesi var olduğu höyüğün üstündeki düzlükte Kilise kalıntısı görülmektedir. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı tarafından hazırlanmış tescilli arkeolojik sit alanları listesinde yer almaktadır.[2]

31 Aralık 1987 tarihinde belediye statüsü alarak beldeye dönüştü.[3]

Coğrafya

Muş iline 78 km uzaklıktadır. Bulanık ilçesine ise 24 km uzaklıkta bulunan belde, batısında Liz ovası, güneyinde ise Bilican Ovası ve dağları vardır.
