"Asya kıtasının ortası anıtı" (2014)

Asyanın Merkezi veya Asyanın Ortası anıtı, Tıva'nın Kızıl şehrinde dikili durmakta olan Asya kıtasının merkezini gösteren dikilitaş anıtı. Bu anıt Ene-Say akarsuyunun kıyısında Büyük ve Küçük Yenisey akarsularının kavuştuğu kilit noktada inşa edilmiştir.

Bulunduğu yer

Yenisey akarsuyunun ana kollarından Büyük ve Küçük Yenisey akarsularının birleştiği noktada, Kızıl şehrinin merkezinde akarsu kıyısında yer alır.

Tarih

Eski obeliskin kurucuları: Demin V. resimcinin ve Bajin V. ile Vetçinov V. mimarlarının gayretleri ile 1964 yılında inşa edilmiştir.

Yenisey akarsuyunu araştıran Rodeviç V. M. Tandı Tıva Devletinin Asya kıtasının merkezinde yer aldığını hesaplamıştır. Daha sonra İngiliz topoğraf ve araştırmacısı Karruters A. D. onu destekler araştırmalarda bulunmuştur.

Obeliskin mimarı Mihail Kuular'ın desteği ile 1984 yılında mermer ile yenilenmiştir.
