Ang tilya[kailangan ng sanggunian] (Ingles: teal) ay isang kagitnang kulay na bughaw-lunti, katulad sa siyan. Hango ang pangalan nito mula sa isang ibon—ang karaniwang tilya (Anas crecca, common teal sa Ingles)—na may kakulay na gúhit sa ulo nito. Kadalasang ginagamit ang salita upang karaniwang itukoy ang mga uri ng siyan sa pangkalahatan.

Malilikha ito sa pamamagitan ng paghahalo ng bughaw sa luntiang base, o pinatingkad kung kinakailangan gamit ang itim o abo.[3] Ang maipaparis na kulay sa tilya ay maron.[4] Isa rin ito sa panimulang pangkat ng 16 na web kulay na HTML/CSS na binuo noong 1987. Sa modelong RGB na ginagamit upang makalikha ng mga kulay sa mga screen ng kompyuter at telebisyon, makalilikha ang tilya sa pamamagitan ng pagbaba ng liwanag ng siyan nang humigit-kumulang kalahati.

Ang tilya ay isang kulay-tersiyaryo sa modelong kulay ng RYB.

Isang usong kulay ang tilya noong dekada-1990, at ginamit ito ng maraming mga koponan para sa kanilang mga uniporme.[5][6]

Etimolohiya

Sa wikang Ingles, ang unang naitalang gamit ng salitang teal o tilya bilang pangalan ng kulay ay noong 1917.[7] Hango ito sa salitang Gitnang Ingles na tele, na kahalintulad ng taling sa wikang Olandes at telink sa Gitnang Ilawod na Aleman [en].[8] Bilang kulay, pinaniniwalaang buhat ang pangalan nito sa maliit at pantubig-tabang na karaniwang tilya, isang kasapi ng pamilyang bibi na ang mga mata ay pinalilibutan ng kulay na ito.[8]

Ang tilyang bughaw (Ingles: Teal blue) ay isang kagitnang kulay ng tilya na mas-bughaw. Ang unang naitalang paggamit ng tilyang bughaw bilang pangalan ng kulay sa wikang Ingles ay noong 1927.[9]

Ang pinagmulan ng kulay na ito ay ang Plochere Color System, isang sistema ng kulay na binuo noong 1948 na malawakang ginagamit ng mga dibuhista sa disenyong panloob. Madalas na ginamit ang tilya noong dekada-1950 at 1960.[10]

Pangalan din ang teal blue ng isang kulay ng Crayola (kulay blg. 113) mula 1990 hanggang 2003. Ito ay isang pinagsamang bughaw/lunti ngunit may pagka-abong kulay.
