Si Martin Luther King, Jr. (15 Enero 1929 - 4 Abril 1968), ay isa sa mga pangunahing pinuno ng kilusang para sa mga karapatang sibil ng mga Amerikano. Naging ministro ng mga Bautista sa pamamagitan ng pagsasanay, si King ay naging aktibista ng karapatang sibil sa simula ng kanyang karera, na nagpasimuno ng Montgomery Bus Boycott at tumulong sa pagbuo ng Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Ang kanyang pagpupursige ay nagdulot sa Martsa sa Washington noong 1963, kung saan ay inihayag niya ang kanyang talumpating Mayroon akong Pangarap ("I Have a Dream"), na nagpataas sa kamulatan sa kilusang karapatang pangsibil at nagpakilala kay King bilang isa sa pinakadakilang orador sa kasaysayan ng Amerika.
