Ang bako[1] (Ingles: gull, seagull, sea gull) ay mga ibong-dagat na nasa pamilyang Laridae. Higit na kalapit sila ng mga tern [Ingles] (pamilyang Sternidae) at malayong kamag-anak ng mga auk [Ingles] (mga nasa Alcidae) at mga Rhynchopidae o mga ibong nanghahapaw (mga skimmer sa Ingles); at mas higit pang malayong kamag-anak ng mga ibong-pampang (ibong namimilapil o ibong namamaybay; mga wader sa Ingles). Hanggang sa kamakailan lamang, dating inihanay ang karamihan sa mga bako sa saring Larus, ngunit nalalaman ngayon na polipiletiko ang pagkakahanay na ito, na nagbunsod sa muling pagkabuhay ng ilang mga sari o henera.[2] Tinatawag din ang bako bilang ibong peskador (o ibong mangingisda), daya, magdaya, manekas, at hibo.[1]

Karaniwan silang malaki at hindi gaanong kalakihang mga ibon, kalimitang abuhin o puti, kadalasang may mga panandang itim sa ulo o mga pakpak. Tipikal na mayroon silang nananaghoy na huni. Mayroon sila ng matabang pangangatawan, mahabang tuka, at paang may anyong palikpik o malasapot. Umaabot ang sukat at laki ng mga uri ng mga bako mula sa maliit na bako, nasa 120 gramo (4.2 onsa) at 29 sentimetro (11.5 pulgada), hanggang sa dakilang bakong may maitim na likod, na may 1.75 kilogramo (3.8 libra) at 76 sentimetro (30 pulgada).
