It is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the predecessor to the Samsung Galaxy S7. Reception
The Samsung Galaxy S6 gained good reviews.[2] It was critiziced for its battery, which is not able to keep the phone on as long as it could with the Samsung Galaxy S5. The battery can also no longer be replaced with a new battery, which means that as soon as the battery expires, the device will not function properly.[3]
Known issues
The capacitive touch keys of the S6 sometimes do not work.[4] It is also possible that they do not light up[5] or the brightness of the light varies.
Sales
After one month, 10 million Samsung Galaxy S6 units were shipped, 6 million of them were sold.[6]
