Mae Respicio

Mae Respicio is an American author who writes books for children in grades 3-8.[1] Her stories often are about family and growing up.[1] They are also about Filipino American lives.[1]
Life and Career
Respicio grew up in California.[1] Her childhood influenced her writing a lot.[1][2] She was a writer in residence at Hedgebrook and the Atlantic Center for the Arts.[1] Respicio has been a member of the PEN Emerging Voices Fellowship.[1] She has had many jobs such as broadcast journalist, screenplay writer, communications writer, copywriter, and coverage writer.[1]
She is currently a writer and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family.[1]

Respicio has written four books and they are published by Wendy Lamb Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House.[2]
