Imperial Brands plc. (originally the Imperial Tobacco Company of Great Britain & Ireland, and later Imperial Tobacco Group plc.), still commonly called Imperial Tobacco, is a large British multinational tobacco company headquartered in Bristol, England.[4] It is the world's fourth-largest international cigarette company after Philip Morris International, British American Tobacco and Japan Tobacco. It makes more shag tobacco and tobacco papers than any other company.[5] Imperial Brands is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is part of the FTSE 100 Index.[6]

Imperial Tobacco began in 1901, and now has 30 factories worldwide and its products are sold in around 120 countries.[7] Its tobacco brands include Davidoff, West, Golden Virginia, Drum and Rizla.[8]

Imperial Tobacco Canada is the Canadian part of British American Tobacco, and is not related to Imperial Brands. Also, the Imperial Tobacco Company of India (now known as ITC Limited) is a separate company as well.
