Tegla

Tegla je posuda napravljena prvenstveno od stakla, namijenjena za čuvanje uglavnom prehrambenih namirnica u čvrstom stanju, ali i nekih polutečnih ili tečnih. Uglavnom je cilindričnog oblika, sa širokim otvorom na vrhu. Za razliku od boce, nema grlo ili je ono veoma kratko i široko.

Uobičajene namirnice za čuvanje u teglama su pekmez, med, slatko, kompot, ali i zrnaste namirnice – npr. riža, šećer, makarone; može poslužiti za čuvanje slatkiša. Nezaobilazan su oblik ambalaže u pripremanju zimnice. Zbog oblika, tegle su praktične i za čuvanje neprehrambenih namirnica.

U srpskom, tegla rijetko ili nikako uključuje slične posude od drugih materijala. Plastične posude takvog oblika se češće nazivaju kutijom ili kanticom. Keramičke posude se nazivaju ćupom.

Zatvarači za teglu su najčešće metalni poklopci sa navojem, a zatim plastični poklopci na pritisak. Kod tegla sa manjim otvorom koristi se i čep od plute.
