Rianila je rijeka Istočnog sliva na sjeveroistoku Madagaskara duga 134 km. [1]

Geografske karakteristike

Rijeka Rianila izvire na obroncima Masiva Fahona (1 510 m) na rubu Visoravni Betsimisaraka, na nadmorskoj visini od 1 450 m. Od izvora rijeka teče generalno u pravcu istoka, obilazeći velike planine u velikim lukovima od sjevera do juga, uskim kanjononom. Rianila se spušta sa 1 450 m na 200 m, u svega 46 km, tako da njen prosječni pad iznosi 26 m/km. Kod mjesta Fetraombo, Rianila prelazi preko zadnje barijere na kojoj ima posljednji vodopad. Odatle do ušća u Indijski ocean kod mjesta Andevoranto je plovna. Kod grada Brickavillea, prima svoju najveću pritoku Rongarongu s lijeve strane, zatim naglo skreće na jug, da bi nešto prije ušća primila desnu pritoku Vohitru. Odatle sreće na istok, i svega par kilometara dalje kod mjesta Andevoranto, ulazi u more.

Ukupna duljina rijeke Rianila je 134 km, a površina njena sliva je 7 820 km². [1]
