Купание

Купа́ние — процесс погружения в воду и плавания, с целью обмывания или оздоровления, относится к гигиеническим и лечебно-профилактическим процедурам[1][страница не указана 562 дня], также популярное развлечение.

Купание может осуществляться как в природных водоёмах (океане, море, реке, озере, пруду), так и в искусственных (бассейне или ванне[2]. Участок берега водоёма (обычно — песчаный, иногда — каменистый), удобный или специально приспособленный для купания, обычно называется «пляжем».

Зимнее купание называется «моржеванием»[2].
