Скотт Фредерик Гилберт (англ. Scott Frederick Gilbert) — американский биолог развития, автор известного учебника по биологии развития, один из основателей эволюционной биологии развития. Почётный профессор Суортмор-колледжа, где преподавал много лет.

Биография

Получил степень бакалавра на кафедрах биологии и религии Уэслинского университета, затем получил степень доктора философии по биологии в Университете Джонса Хопкинса[2].

В 2002 году отмечен Viktor Hamburger Outstanding Educator Prize Society for Developmental Biology[англ.] (первый удостоенный)[3].
