Ванда (лат. Vanda) — род многолетних травянистых растений семейства Орхидные.

Включает 53 эпифитных, реже литофитных или наземных видов.

Аббревиатура родового названия — V.[1]

Распространены в континентальной части Юго-Восточной Азии, Индонезии, на севере Австралии. Название рода произошло от санскритского слова «vanda». Именно так называют эти растения жители Индии.

Биологическое описание

Стебель цилиндрический, густо облиствённый с мясистыми ремневидными или вальковатыми кожистыми двурядно расположенными листьями.
Растения имеют мощные воздушные корни серо-зеленого цвета.
Соцветия прямостоячие или наклоненные, пазушные, кистевидные, рыхлые, мало- или много цветковые.
Цветки от мелких до крупных размеров, часто яркоокрашенные и пёстрые, иногда ароматные[2].

Растения теплолюбивые (требуют температуру 22-25), очень светолюбивые, требовательные к влажности воздуха (70-90 %).
