Правление: Ярослав Владимирович Мудрый

  • Успешный поход Ярослава Мудрого на литву[2].
  • Ярослав Мудрый выдаёт свою дочь Елизавету за норвежского короля Харальда III Сурового[3].
  • По приказу киевского князя Ярослава Владимировича Мудрого останки князя Ярополка Святославовича были эксгумированы, крещены и перенесены из кургана в Десятинную церковь в Киеве. По свидетельству поздних источников, этот обряд совершают три архимандрита, прибывшие к Ярославу Мудрому из Византии[4][3].
  • Вероятно, что при создании киевским князем Ярославом Владимировичем Мудрым династического (родового) некрополя, останки князя Олега Святославича были извлечены из погребения под Овручем, подвергнуты (вместе с останками Ярополка Святославича) неканонической процедуре посмертного крещения и захоронены в Киеве в Десятинной церкви[5].
  • По всей видимости митрополита на Руси не было, так как вряд ли он мог допустить антиканоническую процедуру посмертного крещения останков древлянского князя Олега Святославича и киевского князя Ярополка Святославича[6].
  • 1044—1067 — Всеслав Брячиславич становится первый раз полоцким князем[7].
