Флюорофор

Кумарин — типичный флуорофор. Гетероциклическое ядро, введение которого в молекулу придает ей флуоресцентные свойства

Флюорофор — фрагмент молекулы, придающий ей флуоресцентные свойства. Аналог хромофора.

Как правило флуорофором является карбо- или гетероциклическое ядро, которое поглощает энергию определённой длины волны и после этого выделяет энергию другой длины волны.

Количество энергии и длина волны излучаемого света зависят как от химической природы флюорофора, так и от параметров его окружения (вязкости, полярности и др.).

Применение

Флуоресцентные молекулы с различными хромофорами широко используются в биохимии.
