Длина реки составляет 49 км.[источник не указан 836 дней] Берёт начало на южном склоне горы Варденис (в восточной части Варденисского хребта), на высоте более 3000 метров[2]. Общее направление течения — юго-западное[3][4]. Впадает в Арпу вблизи города Ехегнадзор на высоте 1059 м над уровнем моря[5]. Основной приток — Селим (правый).[источник не указан 836 дней]
