Жорж Давид Волински (Воленски́, фр. Georges David Wolinski [vɔlɛ̃ski]; 28 июня 1934, Тунис — 7 января 2015, Париж) — французский карикатурист, автор комиксов. Сотрудник парижского сатирического журнала «Charlie Hebdo».

Биография

Родился в еврейской семье[4] в городе Тунис. Семья матери, Лолы Бембарон, происходила из Италии; отец, Зигфрид Волински, родился в Польше. Отец был убит в 1936 году[5], после чего семья эмигрировала во Францию. Окончил среднюю школу в городе Бриансон. Первый раз его комиксы и тексты были опубликованы в 1958 году в журнале «Rustica[англ.]»[6].

После того как в 1960 году его рисунки были замечены Франсуа Каванна, был принят в редакцию журнала «Hara-Kiri[англ.]».

Во время «Красного мая» (левых протестов 1968 года) основал издание «L’Enragé». C 1970 по 1981 год являлся редактором «Charlie Hebdo».

Семья

  • Первый брак с Жаклин (1961 — 1966), которая погибла в автокатастрофе. От брака остались две дочери.[7]
  • Второй брак с Марис. В её мемуарах («Жорж, если бы только знал...») говорится, что мужа всю жизнь «преследовал призрак отца, умершего, когда Жорж был совсем маленьким»[8].

Гибель

Убит в результате стрельбы в парижской штаб-квартире Charlie Hebdo 7 января 2015 года[9].
