Stary Majdan – wieś w Polsce, położona w województwie lubelskim, w powiecie chełmskim, w gminie Rejowiec[6][5].

W latach 1975–1998 miejscowość należała administracyjnie do województwa chełmskiego.

Wieś stanowi sołectwo gminy Rejowiec[7]. Według Narodowego Spisu Powszechnego (III 2011 r.) liczyła 117 mieszkańców i była dziewiętnastą co do wielkości miejscowością gminy Rejowiec[8].

W 1884 r. nazwę wsi podawano jako Majdan Stary. Od 1982 r. obowiązuje nazwa Stary Majdan[9].
