Sequoia Capital Operations, LLC (powszechnie Sequoia) – amerykańskie przedsiębiorstwo venture capital z siedzibą w Menlo Park w Kalifornii, specjalizująca się w inwestycjach na etapie seed(inne języki), wczesnej fazie rozwoju i fazie wzrostu w prywatne przedsiębiorstwa z różnych sektorów technologicznych[1]. W styczniu 2025 Sequoia zarządzała aktywami o wartości około 56 mld USD[2]. Do głównych udanych inwestycji firmy należą inwestycje w Apple, ByteDance i Cisco[3][4].

Historia

Firma Sequoia została założona przez Dona Valentina(inne języki) w 1972 roku w Menlo Park w Kalifornii[5], w czasie, gdy branża kapitału wysokiego ryzyka w tym stanie dopiero zaczynała się rozwijać[6].

Sequoia założyła swój pierwszy fundusz kapitału podwyższonego ryzyka w 1974[7] i w następnym roku została jednym z pierwszych inwestorów w Atari[8]. W 1978 Sequoia została jednym z pierwszych inwestorów w Apple[9].

W 1999 roku Sequoia utworzyła specjalny fundusz inwestycyjny dla izraelskich startupów[10]. W 2005 roku powstała spółka Sequoia Capital China[11], a następnie Sequoia Capital India[12].

W 2019 roku Sequoia była najbardziej aktywnym funduszem VC w Indiach[13].
