Phillip „Phil” Morris[1] (ur. 4 kwietnia 1959 w Iowa City) – amerykański aktor telewizyjny i filmowy, występował w roli Jackiego Chilesa w serialu Kroniki Seinfelda[2] i jako John Jones w serialu Tajemnice Smallville[3][4].

Życiorys

Wczesne życie

Urodził się w Iowa City[5] w stanie Iowa jako syn Leony Alvadeen (z domu Keyes; 1935–2016)[6] i aktora Grega Morrisa (1933-1996)[7]. Dorastał wraz z siostrami – starszą Ioną Marie (ur. 23 maja 1957)[8] i młodszą Lindą[9]. Był studentem i nauczycielem chińskich sztuk walki Wing Chun pod Sifu Hawkins Cheung[10][11].

Kariera

Po raz pierwszy trafił na szklany ekran w jednym z odcinków serialu NBC Star Trek (1966). Na ekranie kinowym debiutował w niewielkiej roli Trainee Fostera w filmie Star Trek III: W poszukiwaniu Spocka (1984) u boku Williama Shatnera i Leonarda Nimoya. Gościnnie wystąpił w serialach: Babilon 5, Star Trek: Stacja kosmiczna i Star Trek: Voyager[12].

W operze mydlanej CBS Żar młodości (1986) wcielił się w postać studenta prawa (później adwokata) Tyrone’a Jacksona. W serialu NBC Kroniki Seinfelda (1995-98) zagrał postać Jackiego Chilesa[13]. Za rolę Delroya Jonesa w sitcomie TV One Love That Girl! (2010-2014) był dwukrotnie nominowany do nagrody NAACP Image Awards (2011–2012). Użyczył głosu Jonahowi Heksowi w serialu animowanym Batman: Odważni i bezwzględni (2009)[14].

24 września 1983 ożenił się z Carlą Gittelson, z którą ma syna Jordana i córkę Rachel[15].
