Taksonomia
Rodzaj został opisany przez A. Villiersa w 1948 roku jako monotypowy. Jego gatunkiem typowym jest Antanambeus funebris Villiers, 1948[1][2].
Występowanie
Wszystkie należące tu gatunki są endemitami Madagaskaru[1][3].
