Sverre Storøy (født 1938)[1] er en norsk tidligere professor[2] ved Universitetet i Bergen.

Ifølge bursdagsspalten i Aftenposten: «Han (Sverre) er professor emeritus siden september 2005. Storøy er cand.real. med hovedfag anvendt matematikk. Sverre Storøy arbeidet på EDB-avdelingen ved Universitetet i Bergen 1967-73, var universitetslektor ved Matematisk institutt, samme sted 1974-83, førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for informatikk, 1983-94 og professor samme sted 1994-2005».[3]

Storøy, som har arbeidet på samme sted hele tiden, er spesialist på optimering som brukes i operasjonsanalyse, og er den kvantitative grenen av logistikk. Han har veiledet blant andre Dag Haugland fra 1960 til doktorgrad.[4] og skrevet ei bok om faget operasjonsanalyse, samt ei om Parallel Computing in Optimization.[5]

Mellom 2011 og 2013 var han på lista for Senterpartiet i Bergen,[6] men bodde i Ulset.
