Jack Kerouac (født Jean-Louis Lebris Kerouac) (1922–1969) var en amerikansk forfatter av kanadisk bakgrunn.
Kerouac var en ledende skikkelse i beatbevegelsen. Han var opphavsmannen til spontan prosa.[trenger referanse] Hans gjennombruddsroman On the Road (1957) ble en stor suksess og er i dag en moderne klassiker.
Kerouac hadde en sterk og langvarig interesse for buddhisme,[7] noe han blant annet skildret i The Dharma Bums.
