Ivar Johan Bakken (født 4. januar 1947 i Ålesund) er en norsk volleyballtrener.

Ivar Bakken har vært hovedtrener for herrelaget Nyborg VBK og forløperen Ulriken VBK sammenhengende fra 1979 til 2015 [2], deretter som ass.trener i etterfølgeren TIF Viking.

Ivar Bakken har ledet Nyborgs elitelag til 22 norske serie- og cupmesterskap, samt to nordiske mesterskap. Han har også vært trener for laget i 30 europacupkamper, og i flere perioder vært landslagstrener og ass.landslagstrener.[3]

Ivar Bakken er ansett som en av Norges aller beste og mest meritterte volleyballtrenere.[4] Han er sannsynligvis en av de elitetrenere i Norge som har lengst ansiennitet på elitenivå, uansett idrett.[5]
